- Put all other ingredients into pressure cooker and return hamhocks....close cooker and reset for 25 more minutes..
- Once its done allow to cool off normally... when pressure is released remove hamhocks and they should fork tender... allow them to cool and remove bone and cut up in chunks an add back to split peas....
- ***CAN USE A HAM STEAK OR LEFT OVER HAM FROM THE HOLIDAY.. CAN USE BONE.... IVE HAD THE BUTCHER CUT UP AN OLD FASHIONED BONE IN HAM... INTO SERVING SIZE PIECES FOR BEANS..
- season with salt and pepper to taste ....
- REMOVE BAY LEAVES
