- 1/4 cup wheat flour
- 1 cup American corn kernels
- 1/2 cup curd
- 2-3 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves

- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon crushed jaggery
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds + to sprinkle
- 1 tablespoon oil.+ frying
Steps to make Makai vada
- Crush American corn kernels along with green chilies and ginger in mixer grinder.
- In a mixing bowl take yellow makai flour and wheat flour. Add oil and mix it. Add prepared corn mixture, curd, chopped coriander leaves. Add salt, jaggery, red chili powder and sesame seeds. First combine all ingredients well with hand. Then add water gradually and prepare little soft dough like form.


- Prepare small equal size balls. Bring oil to heat. On a plastic sheet apply oil. Take a ball and pat with wet hand and give vada shape. Sprinkle sesame seeds and press gently. Prepare all vadas like this.

- Deep fry in hot oil until golden. Tempting makai vada is ready to serve.
